Cole Kendall Hartmann, six months, a resident of Kenosha, died Wednesday July 2, 2008, at Children's Hospital of Wisconsin Kenosha Campus.

Leo L. Paavola

1916 - 2008

Leo L Paavola, 92, a former resident of Kenosha, died on June 30, 2008, in Moline, Ill. Leo was born on May 8, 1916, in Virginia, Minnesota.

In 1942 he entered the army and served in World War II in the North African and European Theaters of Operations until 1945. In 1947 he joined Carpenters Local No. 161 in Kenosha and worked for local contractors.

He married Elizabeth Gilles on Sept. 22, 1947, in Kenosha. She preceded him in death on Aug. 26, 1997. Surviving are his son, George; daughter, Susan; four grandchildren and one great-grandson.

The family is planning a private memorial service.

Paul D. Ryan, 87, of Kenosha, passed away Thursday, July 3, 2008 at United Hospital Systems KMCC.
