This VOP is in response to the article written by David Marran titled “One Devil of a letter.” I have never had a problem with signing my name to any letter I have sent to Marran or the Kenosha News. I will not have a problem signing this one either.
While the general public believes there is unfair coverage, I will say this year it was pretty fair, but how could it be anything less considering the season Bradford football had. To say that the coverage would have been better had Coach Kennedy let players talk to the media is poor at best. Bradford football became a “team” sport again three years ago when Jed Kennedy became the head coach. Like you did say “... you can’t argue with the team’s record.” To give paragraphs in articles from this “star” player or that one will not win more games and should not dictate what needs to be said about the team.
Bradford football worked under the theme of “all in” this year as a team. Write an article about working as a team not as individuals. That is where the greatness of Bradford football lives in being “all in.” My congratulations to Jed Kennedy and the Bradford football team. Maybe more coaches should take a page from Jed’s book on team.
Thanks for the coverage of the historic season Bradford had, and we look forward to the 2010 “Unfinished Business” season. That season will again have star players, but they will be part of the “Bradford football team” no quotes next year either I will assume.
