MADRIGRANO AIELLO SANT

MADRIGRANO AIELLO SANT

It's all about YOU!

Name: Joshua Alspach

Gender: Male

City of residence: Kenosha

Hometown: Virginia Beach, Va.

Education: High school

Age: 29

Occupation: Barista Ideal job: Customer service is my niche.

What is the coolest/strangest thing about your family?
My family on my maternal grandfather’s side was from the Champagne region of France. I come from true champagne makers.

Any pets? No furballs around here.

Do you sing in the shower? In the shower, at work, in the car, on the phone. Really, it’s a sickness. I sing normally anything that floats into my head.

What are your favorite songs? Too many to list, but here we go ... Pink’s “Dear Mr. President,” James Morrison’s “Wonderful World” Kurt Nilsen and friends’ “Hallelujah” and Lil’ Mama”s “Lip Gloss.”

Favorite reads: Ray Bradbury, Maya Angelou, Anne Rice, Alice Walker, Dean Koontz, Clive Barker.

What is your favorite TV show? “American Idol.”

What show are you most embarrassed to admit watching? “American Idol” ... Go ahead, judge me.

What are your favorite movies? “Jackie Brown,” “Practical Magic,” all of the “Bourne” movies and the “Evil Dead” trilogy.

What is your dream job? A critic ... for food, music, movies, travel or even people. I always have an opinion.
If you were sent to the moon with nothing but a book and a book light, what book would you choose? “To Kill a Mockingbird” is my all-time favorite book. It comes to life in my hands, and it would be like my own friends coming to visit.

If you were on a reality television show, which would you want it to be and why? TLC’s “What Not To Wear” with Clinton Kelly and Stacey London. I need some good guidance and a new wardrobe. I turn 30 this year. Yikes!!

What sports do you enjoy? I just dig the Olympics ... Nothing like watching other people risking their necks from the comfort of your couch.

Hobbies? Talking, singing, talking, writing, talking, astrology, talking and political upheaval of the system.

If you could be any superhero, what powers would you have? I would be invisible... that way I could initiate change without getting the credit, but reaping the rewards.

Are you religious? I am one with the universe, and as I grow and change, so does the world.

What is your favorite place to go in Kenosha County? Soon’s Sushi Cafe — they are a little mom and pop place off of 22nd Avenue, and their rolls are hand done. Fresh food and friendly service, this place is for those not in a rush and want to enjoy their company as well as amazing deals.

What’s your favorite ethnic food? I love sushi as well as Italian, Greek, German and Iranian (thanks, Tony), and I am willing to eat anything once.

What is one thing most people don’t know about you? I have performed at Carnegie Hall.

Do you believe in ghosts? Spirits exist, both harmful and passive. They are either stuck to a location or can’t find their way.

Which summer festival was your favorite? Why? I always love Summerfest. So many choices and what a fun way to spend the day.

If you could only eat one food for the rest of your life, what would it be? The lunch special from Ming Garden. It is hot and fresh with an eggroll as well as fried rice. Hey, it counts as one.

What was your favorite grade in school and why? My junior year of high school was amazing because I got to sing at all-state choir in Virginia. I got my picture on the wall at my high school. Go Salem High School Sun Devils!!

What is your pet peeve? People who don’t stand up for themselves. Always try to be respectful, but never allow someone else to walk all over you.

What is your worst habit? Biting my nails and being a little bit too loud.
