Don’t miss out on a chance to be part of the 2026 Kenosha Civic Veterans Parade on June 28 presented by Snap-on. Applications are due by 4 p.m. on May 29.
Dance groups, marching bands and community groups are welcome to sign up. Organizations and businesses are encouraged to decorate floats for entry in the parade, which has the theme, “United States Celebrates 250 Years.” Floats will be judged on criteria including: Most Patriotic, Hometown Pride, Superior Craftsmanship and Best Use of Theme. Floats will be judged prior to the parade in the staging area, and winners will be announced during the parade at the announcer’s booth in Navy Memorial Park, in the 5200 block of Sixth Avenue.
All ages are welcome to participate in a community bike ride as part of the parade, but bicyclists must be able to ride two miles without stopping and keep up with the group. Bike parade participants do not need to submit a parade application and should plan to gather between 12-12:30 p.m. at the parade start at Seventh Avenue and Washington Road.
The parade begins at 1 p.m., proceeding south along Seventh Avenue to Sixth Avenue downtown and ending on the west side of Library Park.
Applications are posted on the city’s website, www.kenosha.org, and also are available by contacting Parade Organizer Kris Kochman in the Mayor’s Office at 262-653-4177 or email: kkochman@kenosha.org. Look for the parade lineup to be announced in mid-June on the city’s website.
