A Delavan-based third-party logistics and fulfillment company has significantly expanded its Midwest warehouse capacity after moving into a new distribution facility in Kenosha.
G10 Fulfillment now occupies 315,000 square feet of a 600,000-square-foot building at 12345 38th St., just off Interstate 94. The move increases G10’s dock capacity to 65 doors from 30.
“The Midwest is probably the most important hub for us,” said co-founder and CEO Mark Becker, who was on hand Thursday for a ribbon-cutting at the facility. He pointed to the region’s freight infrastructure and its location along the trucking corridor between Chicago and Milwaukee.
Becker said the facility can handle nearly 7 acres of inventory under one roof. G10 shares the building with food manufacturer Eagle Foods.
G10 invested about $2 million in the Kenosha buildout, which Becker said covered racking, automation and staffing costs.
The facility has about 100 workers, a figure he expects to reach 150 by March 2027. Seasonal hiring could push employment toward 200 during the Black Friday peak before tapering in January.
G10’s real estate
The move consolidates two smaller warehouses — a 150,000-square-foot building in Twin Lakes and a 50,000-square-foot site in New Berlin — into one operation.
G10 is giving up both former buildings rather than keeping them as backup capacity, according to the chief executive. The company owns the Twin Lakes site, which is being leased to Allied Plastics. The New Berlin property is owned by one of Becker’s business partners and is being turned over to another venture.
Kenosha will be one of three anchor hubs in G10’s national network, he said, alongside a Bethlehem, Pennsylvania, warehouse scheduled to open in October and a planned Ontario, Canada, facility targeted for 2027.
The company is also exploring a location in Southern California.
G10 has grown from a 10,000-square-foot hangar in Lake Geneva in 2009 into a fulfillment operation that stores, processes and ships products for manufacturers and brands across multiple sales channels.
