United Way of Kenosha County grants $125,000 to local nonprofits
United Way of Kenosha County (UWKC) has awarded $125,000 in Community Impact Grants to 15 nonprofit programs that are making a difference across Kenosha County. These grants will directly support work in the areas of health, education, and financial stability, helping to uplift families and strengthen the local community.
Celebrating community impact
Reflecting on the power of community collaboration, Jevon Claussen, senior director of community impact operations at UWKC, shared:

Each year, a volunteer-led Community Investment Committee—made up of 16 local residents—reviews grant applications through a detailed, transparent process. Proposals are evaluated for alignment with UWKC’s focus areas, strong measurable outcomes, and sound financial practices. Site visits and scoring tools ensure an equitable and community-driven decision-making process.
Robyn Heathcote Doersch, chair of the committee, shared:
“I have been so impressed by the impact of the work being done by nonprofits in our community. Through their collective work, families in need have been uplifted. I’m excited to see the positive outcomes these investments will continue to deliver!”
